Welcome to my website, I am glad you have interest in my research! I am an ecologist for the US Geological Survey in Seattle, Washington. However, my research is strongly interdisciplinary, intertwining the fields of geomorphology, hydrology, and ecology.
I am most interested in human-regulated and human-altered systems, and ways in which communities act as environmental stewards of water resources. Questions regarding river and ecosystem form and function are central to my research. My current project looks at how riparian ecology and fluvial geomorphology influence stream temperature – an important habitat indicator for endangered Salmon.
